Three first half goals in an 18 minute spell paved the way for an eventual 3-1 victory for the Reds at Midland Alliance outfit Quorn on Thursday night.
Recent signings Kevin Donovan and Mark Turner made their debuts and both played the full 90 minutes.
Neil Ross opened the scoring on 21 minutes (shown above) and added both his and the Reds' second on 35 before Chris White made it 3-0 after 38 minutes.
An error let in the hosts for their reply on 44 minutes to spoil what was a dominant first half showing for the Reds in which they played some good football.
There was little of note in the second period from either side.
Alfreton Town: Shaun Bodkin, Liam Powell, Shaun Smith, David Robinson, Mark Blount, Chris Bettney, Kevin Donovan, Mark Turner, Neil Ross, Peter Duffield, Chris White.
The only subs used were Paul Barnes and Jon Stevenson who replaced Duffield and Ross on 80 minutes.
