A 6'1'' Scunthorpe-born central defender, he is a highly regarded player who began his career with Gainsborough Trinity where he had four seasons before moving on to Altrincham and then to Scarborough.
He became Boston's record signing when he joined them for £80,000 from Scarborough at the start of the 2001/02 season.
He then spent the next seven seasons at York Street where he was described as ''the heart and soul of United'' and captained the side on numerous occasions.
A player of vast experience, he made 275 appearances for the Pilgrims whom he led to the Conference title before having five years at the heart of the Boston defence in the Football League.
Had a one month loan at Chester City in early 2006 before rejoining Boston who awarded him a testimonial for his outstanding services to the club.
Equally at home in midfield.
