Blackburn-born Danny was manager Nicky Law's first signing of the 2008 closed season when he joined from neighbours Hucknall Town where he was captain in the 2007/08 campaign.
It is the second time the highly rated player has been at the Impact Arena - he had an impressive month's loan from Northwich Victoria midway through the 2006/07 campaign.
Having begun his career at Clipstone Welfare, he progressed to gain proven, consistent ability at Conference National and Conference North level having had two spells with Hucknall either side of 30 months at Northwich.
