REDS RECORD FIRST LEAGUE WIN OF SEASON
ALFRETON Town recorded their Blue Square Bet Premier Division victory of the season after a 1-0 success at third-placed York City on August Bank Holiday Monday.
Backed by 200 travelling fans in an attendance of 3,161 the Reds put in a determined defensive display throughout and won the game thanks to Levi Mackin's first goal for the club, his 43rd minute penalty success against his former club the only goal of the game after Paul Clayton had been felled by Andre Boucaud.

The win lifted Nicky Law's side off of the bottom of the table up to 21st.
