Alfreton Town's Easter double got off to a bad start as the Reds had their seven-game unbeaten run ended by a 4-0 defeat at Wrexham on Saturday.

In front of 2,468 the goals came from Connor Jennings on 19 minutes, Jay Harris volleyed the second on 32 minutes before Andy Bishop added a third on 40 and wrapped the win up with his second of the game on 66.

It was a first ever league defeat at the Racecourse for Alfreton whilst it was a first win in six games in all competitions for Wrexham.

Allied to results elsewhere, Alfreton are still six points clear of the relegation zone but Welling United have a game in hand and are still to visit the Impact Arena in the penultimate game of the campaign.

Home game
The Reds are next in action on Easter Monday when title-chasing Grimsby Town are the visitors to the Impact Arena.

The game has strict segregation and is all-ticket for away fans and there are no tickets or admission available for away fans on the day of the game.

Alfreton Town fans should note that they should arrive as early as possible for this game as a far larger crowd than usual is expected. Home fans should make sure they are through the North Street turnstiles by 2.30pm as they will be closed for admission at that time except for season ticket holders.
