Alfreton Town made it three league wins in a row with a dramatic 3-2 Boxing Day win at Wrexham where all the goals came in the second half.

The winner came from former Wrexham player Chris Westwood who pounced to score in the fifth minute of added time at the end of a pulsating second half at the Racecourse.

Neil Ashton missed from the penalty spot for the hosts who did go ahead on 64 minutes through Mark Carrington. Alfreton equalised through Michael Wylde before Job Ayo Akinde's long range effort put the visitors ahead with five minutes left. Wrexham levelled two minutes later through Leon Clowes but Nicky Law's side kept going right to the death and Westwood headed home to ensure the Reds cemented their play-off place with their fifth away win of the campaign.

The attendance was 3,371 including 52 visiting fans. Goalkeeper Jon Worsnop was the Reds man-of-the-match.
