BRADLEY IS SPOT-ON AS REDS TRIUMPH IN RELEGATION SIX-POINTER
Alfreton Town bounced back to winning ways as they recorded a 3-2 Vanarama Conference success in a relegation six-pointer at Welling United on Saturday.
There were winning debuts for goalkeeper Jason Mooney and central defender Callum Howe.
Bradley Wood was spot-on as he despatched two first half penalties on ten and 40 ninutes to put the Reds in command at the interval and Karl Hawley added a third on 74 minutes.
A nervy finish ensued as Welling struck two late replies through a Rowan Vine penalty on 87 ninutes and an added time header from Chris Bush but the Reds held on for a confidence-boosting first win in six games in all competitions and a first league victory in four outings.
Alfreton now have a week off before they have their first Saturday home game in 35 days when Forest Green Rovers visit the Impact Arena. Kick-off is 3pm.
