VANARAMA PICTURE OF THE MONTH
Tuesday Sep 16, 2014
The Vanarama 'Pic of the Month' winner for September has been awarded to Elizabeth (Libby) Clarke from Gainsborough Trinity FC.
Besides Libby being an avid football photographer she runs her own driving school in the Lincolnshire area which proves once again the varied background of those who passionately follow our game.
The competition is open each month to every licensed photographer with the Football Conference, which currently stands in excess of 220, and with the majority attending Vanarama matches each Saturday. Photographers can submit one of their photographs for consideration into the competition and from the entries received eight are chosen each month to be shown on the Conference WebApp.
Then from those eight a monthly winner is ultimately selected and the photographer is awarded the accolade of 'Pic of the Month' to be presented with a framed certificate.
To qualify for entry the criteria laid down is the photograph should be "an action shot or an image encapsulating the game". Certainly this month that caught the eye of Vanarama with Steve Mark, the Brand a Director of the sponsors stating, "Libby in an innovative shot has certainly encapsulated the recent campaign of 'Rainbow Laces' and simplified the message of the support shown by Trinity players on Saturday".
Arrangements will now be made to make the presentation of the award at a forthcoming match at Northolme. Well done to Libby and all those who entered this month.
All eight photos making the September short list are viewable now on the WebApp, which is FREE to download onto any device via the Conference official website by simply clicking on the aptly named red banner. www.footballconference.co.uk
