UNLUCKY BREAK AS ARNOLD LANDS SAME INJURY AS WILSON

UNLUCKY BREAK AS ARNOLD LANDS SAME INJURY AS WILSON

Wednesday Aug 24, 2011

ALFRETON Town manager Nicky Law has suffered a second cruel injury blow to his squad within days.

Striker Nathan Arnold, 24, had little cause to celebrate his 50th appearance for the club since joining in June 2010 at Darlington on Tuesday night.

The left-sided former Mansfield Town man had been made captain for the game, but had to be substituted on 58 minutes after suffering exactly the same injury as Anthony Wilson had against Forest Green Rovers last Saturday.

Both Wilson and Arnold are now expected to be out for up to eight weeks with the pair having suffered a broken fifth metatarsal on their left foot.

Reds boss Law said: "If it wasn't hard enough before, it is even harder now. But that is part of the job and we have just got to deal with it.

"We are going to have to look to get at least a couple of players in before the transfer deadline."
