ALFRETON Town extended their unbeaten Blue Square Bet Premier Division run to four games as they twice came from behind to gain a point in a 2-2 draw at Tamworth on New Year's Day.

The hosts took the lead through when Duane Courtney fired into the bottom corner on 17 minutes but Theo Streete levelled for the Reds on 43 minutes with a 20-yarder.

Iyseden Christie restored Tamworth's lead with a header from debutant Callum Wilson's cross on 49 minutes but Nicky Law's side gained a deserved point when Anton Brown headed in Josh Law's corner on 62 minutes.

The point saw Alfreton continue their progress as they climbed up one place to fourth from bottom of the table.

Theo Streete was the Reds' man of the match and the attendance was 1,241 with 249 making the trip from Alfreton.

The Reds are back in action on Saturday when Grimsby Town and former Reds favourite Liam Hearn visit the Impact Arena. Kick-off is 3pm.
