SPONSORSHIP BOOST FOR REDS

Alfreton Town Football Club were delighted to receive a very welcome extra present over the festive period.
At a recent home game, the Reds were presented with a sponsorship cheque for £3,000 from Marlene Bennett, the Mayoress of Alfreton on behalf of Alfreton Town Council who continued their excellent long-standing support of the club which now goes back over the best part of twenty years.
Club chairman Wayne Bradley said: “Alfreton Town Council have supported and worked with Alfreton Town Football Club since 1998 and we are delighted to have built on the partnering and sponsorship since my first years with the club.
“Alfreton Town Football Club is extremely grateful and proud to continue to receive this support” ended Bradley.
Meanwhile, Alfreton’s Derbyshire Senior Cup third round tie against Whaley Bridge Athletic was postponed for a second time on Tuesday due to a waterlogged Impact Arena playing surface.
The tie has been rearranged for Tuesday, January 12th with a 7.45pm kick-off.
This Saturday, Alfreton Town are away in National League North action at Brackley Town.
Kick-off is 3pm and official ATFC Supporters’ Association transport departs at 9.30am. Seats can be booked by contacting Mark Thorpe on 07857 558401.
