SOLIHULL MOORS 0, ALFRETON TOWN 1

Friday May 13, 2011

Alfreton Town extended their lead at the top of the Blue Square Bet North table to eight points after winning 1-0 at fifth-placed Solihull Moors on Saturday.

The only goal of the game came on 69 minutes when Josh Law netted from the penalty spot after Liam Hearn was fouled by Sam Adkins.
The victory - a fifth in a row - wrapped up a ninth league double for Nicky Law's side who also recorded a sixth successive clean sheet in the process.
With second-placed AFC Telford United losing 1-0 at home to third-placed Boston United on Saturday, Alfreton Town - who still have two games in hand - now require four points from the six games remaining to win the league title on goal difference, five points to win it outright.
The Reds are away again on Tuesday evening when they make the short trip to face local derby rivals Eastwood Town. Kick-off is 7.45pm and ATFC Supporters' Association transport departs at 6.30pm. Contact Mark Thorpe to book seats on 01773 836251. Results for Saturday, April 9
