RYAN WILSON IS FIRST OF SEVERAL SIGNINGS FOR REDS
Monday Jun 22, 2015
Alfreton Town Football Club is delighted to announce their first signing of the summer with former Ilkeston FC and Gateshead left-back Ryan Wilson joining the Reds on a two-year contract.
He is the first of several signings expected to be announced by the Reds this week.
Wilson, 22, shone in the Ilkeston ranks and was transferred to National League club Gateshead for an undisclosed fee last summer where he did well.
Ryan is a former Stockport County trainee and the son of former Chelsea striker and current Nuneaton Town manager Kevin Wilson.
Alfreton manager Nicky Law is delighted to sign Wilson who he feels is the type of player he is after as the Reds regroup and build for the 2015-16 National League North campaign.
"He is someone we had watched during his time at Ilkeston and we tried to get him in on loan last season" said Law.
"Fortunately he has become available again and we are delighted to have been able to bring him to the Impact Arena.
"Ryan is of the right age that we are looking for, he is left-footed, technically very good and within our location requirements. "He fits all of our criteria that we need,a younger, hungry player with a point to prove" ended Law.
