REDS LAND ANTHONY CHURCH ON LOAN

Tuesday Nov 8, 2011

ALFRETON Town manager Nicky Law has brought in former Boston United midfield player Anthony Church on loan from fellow Blue Square Bet Premier Division rivals Grimsby Town.

Anthony, 24, has joined the Reds until January 2nd, 2012 inclusive.

He will wear squad number 22 during his stay at the Impact Arena and has been given permission by the Mariners management to play in this Saturday's FA Cup first round proper tie against Carlisle United.

Anthony began his career with Dagenham and Redbridge before moving on to Ilkeston Town where he played under current Grimsby Town bosses Rob Scott and Paul Hurst. The managerial duo took Church with them when they moved to Boston United.
Whilst with the Pilgrims he also studied at Loughborough University for a degree in economics, business and finance.
He trained with Grimsby in the summer, joining the Mariners from Boston United.
