UNBEATEN AWAY RUN EXTENDED TO 13 GAMES

Alfreton Town finished the 2015/16 Vanarama National League North on a high note with a deserved 1-0 win at second-placed North Ferriby United.

In front of 484, the winner came from Sam Smith on 65 minutes when he fired home from twelve yards and the victory extended Alfreton's amazing unbeaten run on the road in 2016 to thirteen games in all competitions.

Indeed, the last time Nicky Law's side tasted defeat on the road was way back on December 5th, 2015 when they went down 1-0 at Lowestoft Town.

Ryan Wilson was named as the Reds' man of the match and the victory ensured Alfreton finished in tenth place in the table with 14 wins, 14 draws and 14 defeats.
