Reds Earn Replay

Alfreton forced a replay after a 0-0 draw at fellow Vanarama National League North side Gainsborough Trinity, in the FA Trophy, Third Round Qualifying. It was a game of very few chances played in foggy conditions at Gainsborough's Northolme stadium. In a very quiet first half, the only shot of note came from the Red's Liam Hearn, which was easily saved by George Willis.

The foggy conditions worsened after the break. Liam Hearn dragging a shot wide after being set up by Andy Monkhouse. Paul Clayton threatened with a header from an Adam Smith free kick, after which Reece Hands went close for the home side.

Niall Heaton went close for the Reds, with a header producing a good reaction save from Willis.

Both sides will meet again for the replay at the Impact Arena  this coming Wednesday, November the 30th, Kick Off 7-45 pm.
