The Reds return to the Impact Arena today on Bank Holiday Monday, to take on Southport FC in the National League North, kick off is 3pm.

After an historic win at Stockport County on Saturday, the Reds second league win in a row; attention now turns back to home soil and the visit of the Merseyside club today. 

Alfreton will be looking for a third league win in a row after Tom Denton's eighth minute header on Saturday was enough to seal all three points. The Reds soaked up large amounts of pressure throughout the game and could have been further ahead in the first half as well as the second.

Chances in abudance was not the only impressive trait from Billy Heath's side, with the Reds defending for their lives to deny Stockport clear chances on goal. Josh Gowling, Luke Shiels, James Clifton and Josh Wilde all produced rock solid displays as Alfreton gained another three points on Saturday and head into today's game in the play off positions.

Southport have started the season with four points from six games have won just once this season, a 4-1 win away to Nuneaton Borough.

The Sandgrounders began the season with four straight defeats but are unbeaten in their last two league games.
