PACKED LAST WEEK OF SEASON FOR REDS

Alfreton Town face a busy and varied end to the season with a packed last week of the campaign lying ahead.
Fresh from extending their unbeaten away record in 2016 to eleven games in all competitions after a 1-1 draw at Stalybridge Celtic in the league on Tuesday night, the Reds begin a testing final week with their last home game of the season this Saturday when Stockport County are the visitors to the Impact Arena for a fixture which will see segregation in place.
Home supporters should note, they will only be able to gain access to the Stockport fixture via the North Street turnstiles
A Derbyshire Cup Final against Belper Town follows next Tuesday at the neutral venue of Ilkeston FC’s New Manor Ground and the season finishes on Saturday, April 30 with an away trip to promotion-chasing North Ferriby United.
Player of the season award
After the conclusion of this Saturday’s last home game of the season, Reds fans will also be able to see the 2015/16 Alfreton Town FC Supporters’ Association Player of the Year presentation.
It will certainly be an interesting final decision given that several players in with a shout of winning the award.
Next Tuesday, the Reds will be making a first Derbyshire Senior Cup Final appearance since 2008 when they take on Belper Town. Ironically, the last time Alfreton were in the final, they lost to the Nailers on aggregate over two legs.
ATFC Supporters’ Association will be running transport to the Derbyshire Senior Cup Final and this will depart from the Impact Arena at 6.15pm.
Fares will be £5 for adults and £3 for children.
