OXFORD CITY DEDUCTED THREE POINTS
Monday Mar 17, 2014
The Board of the Football Conference was recently obliged to consider correspondence between Oxford City Football Club and the Football Association in which the Club had been charge with fielding a player against Worcester City FC on Sunday, December 8, 2013, whilst the player should have been serving a one match suspension.
The player was also charged with a breach of FA Rule. Upon both party's own admission, the club and the player were found guilty and both have been sanctioned in accordance with the FA's Rules.
As a consequence of this action, the Football Conference was obliged to charge the club with a breach of Competition Rule 6.9 for fielding an ineligible player.
Again, on the club's own admission it was found guilty of the offence and has had the three points it gained in the match deducted from its Skrill North League Table score.
As the club has not lodged an appeal against the decision of the Conference Board, the league table has been adjusted immediately.
