Alfreton Town's 2015/16 FA Trophy campaign ended at the first hurdle with a 2-0 defeat at Vanarama National League North rivals and league leaders Nuneaton Town.

Despite an improved display in rain-lashed conditions,the much-changed Reds fell to two second half goals with Todd Jordan adjudged to have fouled Kabonga Tshimanga in the area for a 58th minute penalty which Rob Duffy despatched.

Then Reds keeper Matt Duke was left stranded from a back pass in added time and Callum Chettle wrapped up the victory for the hosts.

Next in action
Alfreton Town return to league action on Saturday, December 5th when they make the long trip to take on Lowestoft Town. Kick-off is 3pm.
