NATIONAL DIGNITY DAY
Wednesday Feb 6, 2013
National Dignity Day was highlighted on Friday 1st February at Hereford United, when Edgar Street hosted a large gathering of individuals. organisations and companies to a special day of presentations by a variety of speakers around the theme of dignity, care and respect.
The keynote speech to the audience was given by the inspirational Simon Weston, who brought an insight into the battle he has personally endured from the terrible injuries he received in the Falklands war of 1982.
The Football Conference supported the event financially and the Competition also made its own presentation, given jointly by Colin Peake the Football Conference Director responsible for PR & Media, and Luke Graham the captain of the Bulls.
Their theme focussed on the competition's 3D Respect campaign and how Community Development Trust schemes, in place through the funding from the Premier League and the PFA, is instrumental in assisting clubs like Hereford United work in their community to spread the message of the work that members clubs do in the area of dignity, care and respect.
