The Boss reflects on a perfect start to his reign after Saturdays win

Reds Boss Chris Moyses reflects on Saturdays 4-1 win over Leamington and previews tonight's trip to Blyth Spartans.

The Reds ran out 4-1 winners over Leamington on Saturday marking Moyses first game in charge. A performance which showed grit, passion, work rate and desire rewarded the Reds with a first home league win since September and breathed confidence around the Impact Arena heading into the next set of fixtures.

Moyses said:

"I thought the commitment and endeavour was fantastic, to a man they were fantastic. They busted a gut for each other and that's what we are all about."

"I thought we created some good chances and we moved it well. We pressured their back line and forced mistakes, we pressed it well and we worked as a team and we showed that."

With the Reds playing with better discipline and structure, Moyses focused on what he wanted to do:

"I obviously can't comment on what happened before, I wasn't here at the club during that time but we lacked an identity, we now have got one. We have a way of playing, a way of working and we will keep doing it and we will get better at it."

On stand out performers:

"I thought Shielsy was a stand out performer, he was exceptional and he did an absolute job. Cieron was brilliant, I asked him to do a different job to what he's used to. He's ran through brick walls, he's got on the ball, he's used his skill in great moments. I was delighted for the whole team."

On the experience of Disley and Beevers:

"It's nice when you have experience within the team and they can help you through situations in a game, that's what they did Saturday. Lee did great at the back to make crucial interceptions and headers. Dizz ran the midfield, passed it so well as he always does. I was so proud of everybody."

On Blyth:

"This is a good group of players and we shouldn't be where we are in the table but we now need to start proving to people when we get out of this little hole we are in at the moment. It was a great result to kick things off but we face a tough trip tonight to Blyth, it's a great atmosphere, a tough place to go. They are a side who pass the ball well and like to get in behind."

"We need to be disciplined, focused and stay concentrated and organised. The lads are confident and we want to build and lets build on Saturday's result. We are looking forward to the clash."
