MACCLESFIELD TOWN v ALFRETON TOWN PREVIEW

Alfreton Town will be confident of breaking their away duck on Saturday as they take on struggling Macclesfield Town in the Skrill Premier.
The Reds have been imperious on their own turf thus far, claiming four victories from four - yet they have found life on the road somewhat trickier, although it should not be forgotten that they have faced difficult trips to Forest Green and Grimsby in their most recent away contests.
Their opponents on Saturday have found points on all fronts difficult to achieve, with the Silkmen still surprisingly searching for a first win. Alfreton will therefore be hopeful of taking full advantage of Macclesfield's stuttering start and getting their away tally up and running.
Last year there was little behind the two sides, with Macclesfield pipping the Reds by just three points in the final table - whilst each side claimed a 2-1 win over the other during the course of the campaign. This would suggest that Nicky Law's men will need to guard against complacency at Moss Rose, with Macclesfield potentially a better side than what they have showcased thus far.
If the Reds are looking for a confidence boost then they should look no further than their most recent victory against Woking - if they can replicate that display then a first away result might be on the horizon.
Alfreton should be buoyed by the return of skipper Chris Westwood, which will also allow Nicky Law the luxury of having a fully fit squad to choose from.
