LUTON TOWN v ALFRETON TOWN PREVIEW
Friday Dec 7, 2012
Alfreton Town will be looking to bounce back from their FA Cup second round defeat when they travel to face high-flying Luton Town in Blue Square Bet Premier Division action on Saturday.
The Reds are also seeking a first win in four games in all competitions but they do go into the fixture unbeaten in their last two away outings in the league which yielded four points.
Manager Nicky Law has the luxury of a fully-fit squad with no injuries or suspensions to hamper selection.
Luton are currently fifth but it is their away form which is responsible for their league position with 19 out of their total of 33 points having been picked up on the road.
On home turf, the Hatters have won four, drawn two and lost three times in nine outings.
The defeats have come against AFC Telford United (0-1), Braintree Town (2-3) and Dartford (0-2). Wins have been secured against Macclesfield Town (4-1), Cambridge United (3-2), Southport (3-1) and Nuneaton Town (2-0).
The points have been shared against Gateshead (2-2) and Wrexham (0-0).
In the first encounter between the sides earlier in the season, Alfreton deservedly won 3-0 at the impact Arena in early September with the now departed Anthony Wilson netting twice and Dan Bradley once, the latter from the penalty spot.
