HISTORY MADE AS REDS FALL TO CHAMPIONS-ELECT
Alfreton Town were unable to halt Luton Town's relentless march towards the Skrill Premier Division title as they had their four-game unbeaten run ended by a 3-0 defeat at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.
The champions-elect scored through Luke Guttridge on 29 minutes and added further goals from Andre Gray (52) and Paul Benson (86).
The attendance of 8,412 included 79 from Derbyshire and was the biggest attendance Alfreton Town have ever played in front of, beating the 7,349 against Barrow in the FA Cup first round second replay on November 20th, 1969 at Saltergate, Chesterfield.
