Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law felt his side's overall efforts in the 1-0 success at AFC Fylde were deservedly rewarded by a fifth straight away league win as the Reds extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to thirteen games.

The Reds edged a tight contest 1-0 away at fifth-placed promotion-chasing Fylde thanks to a Dan Bradley goal five minutes before alf-time and Law was delighted with the application of his reshaped team.

"l think we deserved the win. It was a good game, an open game" reflected Law.

"We made some changes - one forced with Jackson injured, (which meant) Robertson came in. Two changes in the middle of the pitch (were made).

"l thought (debutant) Joe Doyle and (Andi) Thanoj came in and gave us a real hard work rate and had great quality on the ball as well .

"We were just pleased to get another win away from home and another three points.

"Away from home is always difficult. They (Fylde) have been spending big money on players, but it counts for nothing if you're going to stand up to them as we did today, and l thought we got a deserved three points.

"The middle of the pitch is such an important area. (Joe) Doyle came in and Thanoj came in and gave us a load of energy, as indeed the whole team did, which was so important to us keeping it together" ended Law.
