REDS BOSS DISAPPOINTED WITH ATTITUDE
Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law felt his side didn't show the right attitude in the 1-0 league defeat at Stockport County on Saturday.
Reflecting on a defeat which ended a four-game winning run, he said: "It's disappointing in the way that [a run of four successive victories] has come to an end.
"l feel personally that we've given that game away today - we haven't turned up today, we haven't been anywhere near what we've been before - and as l've just said to the players in there that as a young group you've got to learn in this game that once you think you've cracked it, it'll come back to bite you - and that's what's happened today.
"We've not come here with the right attitude, too many players have under-performed and, with no disrespect to Stockport we beat ourselves, we never got going - we've not started today.
"The goal we've given away is a poor goal. three or four things leading up to that we've not carried out instruction, we've put the ball in the corner, we've not chased it down, we've lost two second balls in the middle of the pitch, which has been so good about us lately, then the ball drops out wide, (a) silly free-kick - we deal with that, then the ball comes in from the corner and we let a man drift off us.
l'm really disappointed, l think we've given our run up cheap" ended the Reds boss.
