LAW: THE GAME SHOULD HAVE BEEN OVER AT HALF-TIME

IF WE CAN PERFORM LIKE THAT ON TUESDAY WE HAVE A CHANCE OF WINNING
Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law agreed that without a shadow of doubt the Reds deserved to win their Vanarama Conference game at top-of-the-table Barnet on Saturday.
"But the harsh reality is we lost . The game should have been over at half-time, and I can think of three or four chances before half-time.
"l was disappointed with the penalty - probably the first ball we've not competed for - Rowe-Turner has found himself one-on-one with Akinde and you know with big John you have to stay on your feet and it's been made easy for him.
"lf it is a foul he's given the referee no option but to send him off, which is disappointing, but as l've said to the players why has it taken seven games to put that level of performance in?
"l've only seen dvd's of the games so far but l would be gobsmacked if you told me we have been performing like that for six games and how we haven't won - if we can perform like that on Tuesday we have a chance of winning.
"We'd worked on today's game in training and l felt that we could put pressure on their footballing back four, and when we got the ball behind them it showed they were uncomfortable with it, and with better finishing we could have come in at half-time 2-0 up
"lf you were to ask anyone up to the penalty who was top and who was bottom they couldn't have told you."
