LAW: OUR QUALITY SHOWED

PRAISE FOR SECOND HALF SHOWING
Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law had mixed feelings after seeing his side triumph 4-1 in a game of two very definite halves at Brackley Town where the Reds came from behind to record their biggest away win of the season.
Reflecting on a win that made it ten points from the last twelve, Law said: "First half we were probably fortunate to come in one goal down.
"l think Matt Duke's probably won us that game in the first five/ten minutes, he's made three great saves. We were sloppy, everything that had been good about us in the last three games was not good about us today, and l made that point at half-time.
"We came out second half - we got a lot tighter, got a lot closer to them - we worked them and we were a lot more competitive, and once we'd done that our quality showed.
"It was a game of two halves wasn't it. First half it was a matter of we thought we just had to turn up - it was what it was - then second half we came out, we got about them, we were a lot more physical and then l think we shone through."
Asked what was said at half-time, Law replied "l just thought it wasn't acceptable. The goalie, both centre halves and the right full-back were the only ones that came out of it with any credit. The other seven got dominated and you ain't gonna win a game of football by four of you dominating the opposition.
"We came out second half and turned that round, and l think the other seven came to the show, and when we did that our quality shone through and we got some good goals.
"We got the reaction - they've (the players) got to understand that the two different halves were what was good about us and what was bad about us. No disrespect to Brackley, but if that had been one of the top side's we'd played against like that the game would have been over and there would have been no way back and we have to understand that" ended Law.
