LAW TAKES POSITIVES FROM DRAW

Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law preferred to take the positives out of the Lincoln City game despite the disappointment of seeing his side concede so late.
“For them to equalise on 94 minutes is an absolute gut wrencher and I feel sorry for the lads but anyone who was here today could see at the point they scored we should have been five in front” he said.
"I am not on about half-chances, I am talking about really, really good chances. “But as long as it is 1-0 a team has always got it's way back. They made changes, (they) didn't affect us at all. We were in total control of the game, we dominated possession and were the far superior team.
"You have got to see the game right to the end and we haven't done that. It was just one more set play we have had to deal with and we have got done on the second one unfortunately.
"You know what you have got to do when you play a team like Lincoln, all they are doing is playing for throw-ins and free-kicks and corners. To be fair, they are effective but I thought all game we dealt with them."
Law felt his side were hardly threatened by the Imps and if some of the several chances created had gone in, the Reds would have gone on to win comfortably.
"It was a great move for the goal and I thought we played some good football, we looked solid, we never looked in danger.
"If I am honest I am thinking the only way they are going to score is a long throw or a free-kick or a corner, it's the only chance they have got of scoring, and they have done so give them some credit, but the game should have been out of sight.
"Late on, they are just chucking it and lumping it on us and we are defending it. We got a lot of the ball back centrally but if I am honest I think we got caught in possession in the centre of the park too often. They got four or five corners in the last few minutes which we needn't have given so there is a bit of self infliction with it as well.
“We have got to look at the overall performance and I think we were the better team. We were the better team, but unfortunately the better team has not won.
"It was a real positive performance and, without being disrespectful, I think we were a different level to them to be honest."
