LAW REFUSES TO BLAME CONDITIONS
Sunday Dec 6, 2015
Manager Nicky Law refused to blame the conditions on his team's latest defeat, a 1-0 reverse at lowly Lowestoft Town.
It is a defeat which leaves the Reds sitting two points above the relegation places.
"The weather didn't affect us at all - it was the same for them.
"We've come down here - after we've had a shaky ten minutes and they've missed a penalty - other than that l think we've had three great chances first half - we failed to take them, and l think we've come out second half and l think we've probably been the most dominant side, and then when we've had to defend we can't do it.
"Their goal with ten minutes to go - we're 0-0 away from home - keep your discipline. One centre midfielder's dropped on the ball, the other one's overlapping down the right - l don't know what he's doing there - we make a wrong decision - it breaks to them, and lazy defending again.
"l think the lad who scored has run off our left back, who's just given it up - not even tracked him - the ball comes through and you lose the game 1-0.
"But, as l've said in there [to the players] we're having this conversation too often, keep coming in and saying it's another team we've dominated - one chance they've had - that's not going to change until you start making better decisions and defending properly. You can't do that."
