LAW LAUDS REDS PLAYERS

Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law agreed it was three points well deserved after seeing his side come back from 2-1 down to beat Forest Green Rovers 3-2 at the Impact Arena on Saturday.
He reflected: "We did a lot of work in midweek looking at the way they play and l think it worked a treat.
"We got off to a great start, we got the goal and went in front then we're obviously disappointed with the two goals we've given away.
"l keep telling them you can't give goals away to good teams - they've got good players and they take the ball off you - but credit to our players - they don't know when they're beaten - they go and they go and they go and run out 3-2 victors.
"lt was a hairy, scary last 15 minutes after Nick Fenton's sending off, which l'm not sure about. We'll have to get the DVD and have a look at that. There was certainly one earlier where their lad's come and led with his elbow - and when he [the referee] was questioned, it wasn't an elbow - he'd led with his hand.
"Dress it up how you want, but l don't think there was any need for the sending off and l'm not sure it was a sending off, but l stand to be corrected."
Asked if he felt the referee had been influenced by James Norwood's theatrics, Law explained: "That's something we don't do - we don't writhe about screaming, then next minute get up and run the length of the pitch.
"You're either hurt or you're not. l don't think there is a place in football for that whatever level you're at - l certainly wouldn't condone that off my players."
