Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has made former Grimsby Town right back Bradley Wood his first new signing of the summer.
The Reds boss has signed twenty-one-year-old Wood on a one-year contract following his release by the Mariners on May 2.
Leicester-born Wood made a total of 113 appearances over a four year contract with Grimsby, scoring one goal. At the time of his release was the longest serving current player at the club.
Described as a ‘combative and tough tackling defender', the versatile Wood has also played on the right flank and left back and was Grimsby Town's young player of the year in the 2010/2011 season.
In an article with the Grimsby Telegraph following his departure from Blundell Park, Wood explained his footballing philosophy when he said: "I will give 100 per cent for any team I play for - that's the type of character I am. That's half the battle of becoming a decent professional, and it's something I'll always have."
