Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law says his team's knack of conceding soft goals is the reason for a third straight league defeat after a 2-1 reverse at Boston United on Saturday.

"Disappointed - we dominated the game, dominated the chances, we've dominated possession but we've come out on the wrong side of the result" reflected Law.

"Credit to Boston - they've stuck at it, they've dug in against the odds - it's almost like Santa Claus with us - we've just got a great knack of gifting teams goals.

"The first goal we've only got to cover it from centre-half, put our head on it - (and) we don't concede that one - then the second one we're up in the top third and next minute we've got to defend - we can't and the ball's in the back of the net.

"We've just got a soft streak in us - unfortunately you're not gonna win games of football when you've got that.

"l said after the last game - let's not let the result cement over the issues or problems or the weaknesses we have - and we've shown we still have them today - until we put that right then we're not gonna win a game of football" ended Law.
