LAW FEELS REDS DID WELL

LAW FEELS REDS DID WELL

Monday Feb 4, 2013

Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law felt his side acquitted themselves very well despite going down to a 4-2 defeat at league leaders Grimsby Town on Saturday.

He reflected: "I don't know how it's ended up 4-2. I'm confident at 1-0 - even when we've gone 2-1 down I'm still confident we can win the game.

"For 40 minutes we hadn't done a lot wrong - we were the better team - I don't think they had any answer to what we were doing, but then we go and gift them a goal.

"Killock's gone back with Brodie and done what you can't do nowadays - tackle in the box.

"Okay it's a penalty, but you still don't see a massive problem and the second goal - well !! - the third came from our possession 30 yards out and the fourth was a catalogue of errors.

"They [Grimsby] are top of the league and they must be doing something right for the points they've got and we must be doing something wrong for the points we've got, but for me there ain't a great deal of difference between those two teams."
