LAW DISAPPOINTED REDS DIDN'T WIN THE GAME
Monday Sep 17, 2012
In an interview after the 1-1 draw at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday, Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law reflected that he was 'disappointed' the Reds had not won the game.
""I'm disappointed that we didn't win the game.
"Their player (keeper Sam Russell) getting man-of-the-match tells you the story .
"We probably switched off once defensively and got punished and we failed to capitalise on our dominance certainly in the second half. David (Hockaday) will be the happier of the two managers.
"Where was the team that played against Luton ? Had we found 50 per cent of that momentum against Luton I think we would have won that game comfortably.
"If we can get the horse before the cart rather than the other way around we will be a match for anybody.
"I'm not saying we are going to win the league or anything, but we could get into a comfortable position in this league if we can play like we did second half.
"If they could just come out and impose themselves on teams and believe in themselves more then we'll win more matches. I've said to the players if they could just bring their A-game every week with their work rate and belief in them then we will have no problems."
