LAW DELIGHTED WITH RESPONSE

Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law was delighted with the response from his side after asking them to go out and show what they can do before the 3-2 win at Aldershot Town on Saturday.
The Reds boss reflected: "I asked the players before the game for a response as l was disappointed with our form of late - it's not been good enough - and l just asked them to go out there today and give their all and show a little bit more - and l think they did that in an end-to-end game - l think if l'm honest we could have won it more convincingly.
"We read their programme before the game and one of their players said we wouldn't fancy coming here today - and that was a bit of motivation for us and we certainly did come here and we did fancy it.
"They [Aldershot] are a good side - they're a young side but they've got good players, the wide men are very good and they cause you problems, but we kept our shape and every time we went forward we looked likely to score.
"We knew they had a couple of young lads at centre-half, but when big John (Akinde) is like that he's a handful for anyone and he proved that today."
Commenting on the returning players the manager stated that Lathaniel Rowe-Turner's injury had not been as severe as first thought, that Michael Wylde had come back in only 80 per cent fit with a painful shoulder and it was only on Thursday at training that he realised Chris Westwood would be fit.
