LAW ADDS CRAIG CLAY ON LOAN

Friday Jan 20, 2012

ALFRETON Town manager Nicky Law has strengthened his squad ahead of Saturday's Blue Square Bet Premier Division home game with Kidderminster Harriers with the addition of Chesterfield midfield player Craig Clay.

The 5'11'' tall Nottingham-born player is described as "A combative midfield player with a never-say-die attitude".

Craig, 19, has made six appearances for the Spireites this season, all as substitute, with four in the league, one in the FA Cup and one in the League Cup.

Played the full 90 minutes against Alfreton in Chesterfield's 4-1 pre-season victory at the Impact Arena back on July 15 and also came on as a substitute for the blues for the last 19 minutes of the 2010/2011 pre-season game on July 17 which finished 1-1.

He will wear squad number 22 during his stay at the club which will be until March 3, 2012, inclusive.
