Alfreton Town had Theo Streete  sent off in the second half as they fell to a third successive league defeat as title-chasing Kidderminster Harriers recorded a 3-1 win over the Reds at Aggborough on Saturday to move into second place.

In front of 2,209 the Reds fell behind in the very first minute as Amari Morgan-Smith put the hosts ahead from ten yards.
Ben Tomlinson's header got Alfreton level on 29 minutes but Josh Gowling headed Harriers back in front on 38 before Anthony Malbon ended the scoring on 45 minutes.

Goalkeeper Phil Barnes had to be substituted at half-time with a thigh injury and Leigh Franks took over in goal but Nicky Law's side had to play the last 17 minutes with ten men after Theo Streete was sent off for violent conduct on 73 minutes.

The Reds are back in league action on Tuesday night when Hyde FC are the visitors to the Impact Arena. Kick-off is 7.45pm.
