ALFRETON Town made it three wins in a row and two consecutive away wins after a 2-0 Blue Square Bet Premier Division win at second-from-bottom Kettering Town's Nene Park home.
Both of the goals came early on with man-of-the-match Darran Kempson netting his first for the club after just four minutes and Jake Moult adding the second - his second in successive games - on ten minutes.
The win extended Alfreton's unbeaten run to four games and lifted Nicky Law's side up to 16th place in the table.
Next up for Alfreton on Tuesday night at the Impact Arena are in-form Mansfield Town who thrashed Barrow 7-0 at Field Mill on Saturday. The Stags are unbeaten in their last seven games, picking up 19 points out of 21. It is a run of form which has lifted Paul Cox's side up to third place.
