JUST A FEW DAYS LEFT TO BID FOR POPPY SHIRTS
Wednesday Dec 16, 2015
DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS UNIQUE PIECE OF ATFC HISTORY
There are just a few days left to try and lodge a bid to own one of Alfreton Town FC’s unique Poppy kit shirts and aid the fantastic work of The Royal British Legion charity at the same time.
The Reds are auctioning off their recent game-worn Remembrance Day tribute Poppy Kit and all proceeds will be going to the Royal British Legion.
The deadline is this Saturday’s Reds home game against Bradford Park Avenue after which the winning bids will be announced.
The stunning shirts which have the words 'Lest We Forget' across the top of the back of them, were kindly created by the club’s kit producers, Ohio-based UN1TUS, and were worn just four times by the Alfreton Town team in games either side of Remembrance Day.
How to bid
Persons interested in obtaining one of only eighteen available unique shirts – fifteen squad shirts and three goalkeeper jerseys in different colours – can bid in several ways.
Bids can be emailed to email@example.com
via text to 07780 472467 or phoned through the Impact Arena office on 01773 830277 – which is manned from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
Alternatively, there is a 24-hour answerphone on that number as well.
Any individuals wishing to make a bid in person can do so with any club official working on the ground at both non-match days and match days and bids will also be taken in person at this Saturday’s home game against Bradford Park Avenue.
Persons making a bid by any of the club's media avenue’s should include their full name, exact bid, shirt number (if bidding for a specific shirt) and contact number.
The minimum bid per shirt is £50 (a limited amount of replica’s were on sale via the club shop recently at £40 each).
This Saturday’s home league game against Bradford Park Avenue (3pm) will be followed by a replayed Derbyshire Senior Cup third round home tie against Whaley Bridge Athletic next Tuesday (Dec 22, 7.45pm).
The original game was abandoned on 66 minutes last Saturday with the Reds leading 1-0 and Whaley down to nine men following two red cards when the match official called an early end to the game, deeming the pitch to be waterlogged.
Reds fans should note that ATFC Supporters’ Association transport to the Boxing Day league game at Tamworth will depart at 10.45am.
Seats can be booked by contacting Mark Thorpe on 07857 558401. Kick-off is 3pm.
