REDS COME FROM BEHIND TO SECURE WIN

Alfreton Town came from behind to secure three much-needed Vanarama National League North points with a 2-1 win at fourth-placed Harrogate Town.

The hosts took the lead through Joe Colbeck who netted from a free-kick on 18 minutes but Nicky Law's side equalised on 36 minutes when Andi Thanoj also despatched a free kick, a superb effort from the edge of the area into the top corner.

The winner for the Reds came on  56 minutes when Jordan Robertson chased down a through ball and got there ahead of home keeper Peter Crook whose indecision was punished when Robertson netted his tenth goal of the season from a seemingly impossible angle.

In atrocious weather ocnditions, the Reds defence stood firm in the second half as the side recorded their first league win in seven games.

The attendance was 607 with Matt Duke named as the Reds man of the match.
