Alfreton Town are still looking for their first away points of the season after a 3-1 defeat at Grimsby Town on Saturday.

In front of 3,245 Nicky Law's side fell behind on 13 minutes when former Red Liam Hearn netted. The second goal came on 39 minutes with Joe Colbeck firing home and Patrick McLaughlin added the third on 57 minutes.

Nick Fenton got the Reds reply in the first minute of stoppage time at the end of the game when he headed in Alastair Taylor's corner for his first goal for the club.

Josh Law was named as the Reds man of the match.

Alfreton Town are back in action on August Bank Holiday Monday when they entertain Hereford United at the Impact Arena. kick-off is 3pm and segregation is in place for this game.
