Friday May 25, 2018

ATFC are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Ross Durrant from North Ferriby United.

Ross has signed a one year deal at the Impact Arena.

Durrant a product of the Nottingham Forest Academy; has had spells at both Ilkeston FC and Boston United in recent seasons. Ross joined then Evo-Stik Premier Ilkeston in 2016 after spending time on loan with the Robins from Forest.

A switch to Boston then followed in December 2016. He arrived as Adam Murray's first signing from Ilkeston and made his Pilgrims' debut against FC United of Manchester at Broadhurst Park.

Ross would then join North Ferriby in July 2017 after making 22 appearances for the Pilgrims. He was a regular starter for the Villagers making 39 appearances in the league, in what proved to be a difficult campaign, as Ferriby were relegated last season.

Manager Billy Heath on Durrant joining the Reds:

“Ross is a top young keeper and he did very well at Ferriby last year. We went to watch him two or three times last season and everytime we watched him, he was impressive.”

“He has great ability, he’s a good shot stopper and matured very well in the last season. He is a good fit with us and a good fit for the club. He had a good season despite relegation and I think in a way that brought him on more, there was pressure and he had lots to do last year in what was a difficult campaign.”

“We are delighted to have Ross with us and it’s another strong signing to the Impact.”

Welcome Ross!
