REDS HELD BY TEN-MAN CITY

Alfreton Town were held to a 1-1 draw by Gloucester City on Tuesday evening, the hosts playing the second half with ten men after Spencer Hamilton had been sent off for a scytrhing challenge on Dan Bradley.

The Reds dominated the first half with some excellent football. They had a goal disallowed then deservedly took the lead on 42 minutes when Tom Allan netted his first goal for the club with a thumping header from a superb cross by Town's man of the match Dan Bradley.

Gloucester battled hard in the second half and finally equalised on 83 minutes when substitute Marc Richards headed home from a corner.

Alfreton are back in action on Saturday, August 22nd when they entertain newly-promoted Curzon Ashton.
