Friday May 13, 2011

Blue Square Bet North champions Alfreton Town extended their lead at the top of the table to ten points after winning 3-0 at Gainsborough Trinity in their last away game of the season.

Two Anthony Wilson goals on 26 and 41 minutes, the first a spectacular 12-yard overhead kick, the second a header, put the Reds in charge. Jake Moult's 65th minute ten yarder wrapped up a 13th away win of the season and an 11th league double.
The Reds bring the curtain down on a fantastic season on Saturday when they entertain Nuneaton Town in the last game of the campaign at the Impact Arena. Supporters should note this game is segregated and kick-off is 3pm.
