Having impressively ended Hereford United's unbeaten record on August Bank Holiday Monday, Alfreton will be hopeful of picking up their first away points on Saturday as they take on big-spending Forest Green Rovers in Skrill Premier action.
Rovers are one of the title favourites and have made a solid start to the season, with just one defeat in five games leaving them sitting two places adrift of the Reds in tenth spot.
In their last outing they won 2-1 at Chester on August Bank Holiday Monday and Dave Hockaday's side go into the game unbeaten in their last two outings having drawn 0-0 with Luton Town in their last home outing last Saturday.
If that was not enough evidence that this should be a contest between two evenly matched sides, then the fact they were separated by just five points and two places last term will.
Last season's results between the sides should provide Alfreton with plenty of confidence, given that the Reds picked up four points against Rovers - Nicky Law's men claiming a 2-1 victory over the Gloucestershire outfit on the final day of the season having already drawn 1-1 at the New Lawn last September.
A look at the results from 2011/12 swing more in favour of the home side with Forest Green picking up two thumping wins, however that only highlights how far Alfreton have come since their promotion two years ago.
With the club's host of summer signings now looking firmly bedded in, the Reds will be hopeful of transferring their strong home returns to performances on the road. If they can recreate the same level of display as they produced on Monday then they have every chance of breaking their travel duck at The New Lawn.
Further boosting their hopes is that Nicky Law again has a fully fit and free of suspension squad to choose from.

Kick-off at the New Lawn in Gloucestershire is 3pm and ATFC Supporters' Association transport departs at 9am. Seats can be booked by contacting Mark Thorpe on 07857 558401.
