REDS SLIP OUT OF TROPHY DESPITE LEADING THREE TIMES

Despite taking the lead three times, Alfreton Town exited this season's FA Trophy after a 5-3 second round defeat at FC Halifax Town on Saturday.

The Reds goals came from Bradley Wood (4 minutes), Lee Stevenson (41) and Tom Shaw on 51 but they were outgunned by a Steve Williams equaliser on 28, a Richard Peniket hat-trick on 44, 60 and 64 minutes and a George Willis own goal on 71.

Cup action
Alfreton are back in cup action on Tuesday evening when Matlock Town are the visitors to the Impact Arena for a Derbyshire Senior Cup fourth round tie which kicks-off at 7.45pm.
Extra time and penalties will be utilised if necessary.
Admission for the tie has been reduced to £8 adults, £4 concessions and £2 juniors.
