EMERGENCY GOALKEEPER SIGNING

EMERGENCY GOALKEEPER SIGNING

Saturday Dec 14, 2013

Alfreton Town made an emergency signing on Saturday morning with goalkeeper Jon Worsnop joining the club for one game from FC United of Manchester.
The need arose following an injury to on-loan Derby county keeper Ross Atkins during Tuesday's Derbyshire Senior Cup tie at home to Heanor Town. Atkins is likely to be out for up to a week.
Worsnop, 30, will play in today's Skrill Premier game at Kidderminster Harriers and has also played for Bradford Park Avenue, Chester City, Aberystwyth Town, Droylsden, Witton Albion, Ossett town, Guiseley and Worksop Town.
Alfreton Town Football Club extend sincere and grateful thanks to Northern Premier League Premier Division club FC United of Manchester for helping them out in their hour of need.
