DOVER ATHLETIC v ALFRETON TOWN PREVIEW
Friday Sep 26, 2014
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th, 3pm
In-form Alfreton Town make the long trip south to take on Dover Athletic in the Vanarama Conference on Saturday.
The Reds go into the game in fine fettle having picked up ten points from the last twelve on offer including three straight wins which have lifted the side out of the drop zone.
Injury-wise there are only doubts over Duane Courtney aside from Nathan Hicks who continues his recuperation process from a damaged shoulder which means manager Nicky Law will have plenty of options all over the park for this game.
Dover Athletic dropped into the bottom four after a 2-0 defeat at Torquay United last Saturday but a win for Chris Kinnear's side would move them onto the same points total as Alfreton.
A win for the Reds would move them further away from the relegation zone and could move them up another few places dependant on other results going their way.
Dover will be seeking a first win in five games. They Whites have seven points so far with a 1-1 draw at Grimsby Town being added to by a 2-1 home win over Eastleigh and a 4-1 win at AFC Telford United.
Their last four games have seen them struggle for goals, scoring just once and conceding eight times, and they will be keen to improve on a run of just one win in their last seven league outings.
The match is not being segregated and fans who cannot make it to the game can keep up to date via on Dover's live match Twitter feed: @DAFCLiveText
Kick-off at The Crabble is 3pm.
